Finally 2020 is ending

And just like that we have almost made it to the end of 2020, but with a lot of different stories in everyone’s life. Everyone has a kind of plan in their life, might be business related, events related or family related but no one had a plan with COVID-19 in mind.

At the start of the year, I was in the last year of graduation and busy preparing for the final year university exams, we all were carrying a bunch of mixed feelings with us, we were excited about the farewell party at the college and at the same time sad for bidding farewell to our batchmates and teachers and on the other hand some were under the stress of examinations and some were excited to finish the last academic year!

One day we heard the news of coronavirus spreading in China and some other countries, we were just joking around that what if it came here and we got somedays of leave from college! Who even knew that the more of it was going to be true and we were never going to attend our lectures in the college again!

Coronavirus was spreading like crazy everywhere and when the cases hit 500 in India, on the 25th of March the country entered the lockdown number one.

I hope you all spent some great time with your families. We had a great experience filming the Cover video of Muskurayega India by staying at our homes. 

The first lockdown seemed okay till some extent. The offline businesses were getting affected, but it was I think manageable for most people as everyone of us was expecting it to be just those 21 days.

But no one knew how much of a spoiler coronavirus was!

At that time, no one thought it was going to spread so much in future that people will start hating the year 2020! By the way, apart from the pandemic many other things happened, Australia bushfires, swarms of locusts in India and other countries, cyclone Amphan in India, chemical explosion in Lebanon and the list is endless! Coronavirus came along with this big group! And this is what made people dislike 2020. Disasters of this year cannot be described in a single article. It was a really tough year for everyone. It seems like God wanted to take us back with him!

As the year was passing by, everyone’s life seemed to be at risk, I feel really sorry for those who lost their loved ones. at some point I even thought that the doomsday is going to be in 2020. I think this thought might have crossed everyone’s mind at least once. But at last we made it till the end! We survived, it was quite exhausting. But we are here. And now, I feel so relieved to see the virus getting in control. I just hope we get the vaccine real soon.

2020 has only left us with hopes, hopes for a world without coronavirus. It taught us to wear masks, disinfect things, take care of our hygiene and also it taught us that nothing is certain in our life, actually, life itself is not certain!

Well, there are no flowers without the rain and I hope the coming years will be so peaceful and joyous that we’ll believe that we had to survive the rain of 2020 to get all these beautiful flowers!
